Hi to all,
toward analyzing a Photonic crystal LASER, I should fisrt analyse its FIELD distribution and presence of PBG, using some methods such as FDTD, FITD or softwares.

1-How can I use CST to analyze such geomtry : a disk with cylindrical air holes in triangular lattice

2-How can we get the Transmission curve vs. Lambda(wavelength) in CST MWS?

3-afterwards, how can I get I-V characteristics? LASER threshold and so on?

you can use optiFDTD software its user freindly soft ware

I know it is from Optiwave. can you introduce a link?
Is it calculating Transmission vs. Freq &/or Wavelength directly?

you can down load it from optiwave .com but this software is very expensive around 60.000$ usd if you find way of download it plz tell me thanks

If I had Optiwave myself, I never asked about working CST...

Dear hamid,
You can request for evaluation version of OPTIFDTD. But you have to provide non conventional email ID.
I f you have, then your work is done. All the beast..
