vhdl by wackerly

Hi,basically I'm a analog and sensor guy,but I need do some simple controlling timing for my sensor array(image pixel array with expsouring time, readout,CDS),how can I get familiar with digital design efficiently? Now I'm read the Rabeay's book.I'm not majored in EECS although I had study digital circuit at undergraduate, but you can suppose I forget them all...

Digital design by morris mano contains all the basics..Since u had completed ur UG, you can start with digital design by wackerly. It contains stuff about timings of digital circuits... you can get better materials on timings of digital circuits on the net in the form of some university papers in small pdfs...

The best way out is to look for Tutorials on VHDL or verilog and digital design. Reading books is a long process.

Dude,

Best way is to start with basics like gates (Nand. Nor), how to simplfy a boolen expression, by using expression how to design a digtial circuit using this expression.

then what is Combitinal circuits, sequential circuits, how to design a mux, decoder, and how to convert a mux into gates etc etc.

Then learn basics of MOSFET. How a mos works . Using MOS how a gate can be designed. Then about CMOS finally to deisgn a inverter and go on buiting complex circuit.

This is VLSI part.

Logical means study VHDL Or Verlog which helps in designing or modelling digital system.
