Hi there,

Does anyone know about "memory relays" ?

I need a relay that will switch between two positions and to be capable to keep the last state even when the voltage is removed.

For example it will have a two position switch, A and B. Let's say the initial state is A, then you apply voltage to it and it will change to B, after you remove the voltage it will stay on B, then you apply voltage again and it will switch to A, after you remove the voltage it will stay on A and so on.

The point is that it will stay on the last position when the voltage is off, and it will switch when the voltage is applied.

Has to be a relay or solenoid or something, not be based electronic circuits.

I want this for a home project.

Re: Memroy relays

"magnetic latching relay" may be what you have in mind. You pulse the coil one direction or the other and the relay stays in that state forever.
