5.1 amplifier circuit

I want to make a 5.1 channel audio amplifier using the pc SMPS power supply, anyone please suggest ic for the amplifiers which are good in performance working on either 12V or 5V power supply and commonly available :idea: .

or any 5.1 channel amplifier circuit if anyone has one :!: .

5.1 amplifier circuit diagram

using 12v supply will not give u more that 10W per channel that too after bridging. That means it will hv more noise. Is this ok 4 u?
or else u hv to use digital IC's, which r more expensive & difficult to build to get more output.

5.1 channel amplifier circuit

Here is list of audio ic's. Some description is in russian but understandable.
Hope this is useful 2 u.

5.1 channel audio amplifier ic

mhtplsh can you suggest me any particular ic or schematic for 10W power out amp using 12V.
class d will be a good option but design wise tough for a hobbits

thanks palesha for the list but i cant understand russian and better if you suggest any particular ic which you have used or seen its performance.

5.1 amplifier using tda2030

TDA 2003

how to make 5.1 channel amplifier

can you tell the noise and distortion or other requirement? do you have checked it on the big company website such as ADI?

make 5.1 amplifier

Hi,

I am also interested in this topic ......... pls continue with the topic .............. Mr puviarasu thanks for posting this topic :p

100w tda7294-el

you can use the philips semiconductor TA8210AH or else, but i suggest don't using pc power supply cause can make noise, pc power supply using switching circuit for downconverter the voltage

5.1 amplifier circuits

USE TDA2005A. It is stereo version of TDA2003, i think.

To get max power use TDA 7376B. Herewith attached the datasheet.

12v ic bass amplefier data sheet

Be carefully your power component for relilbilty and leakage issue. The 5.1ch outputs needs a DSP processor and good layout skills.

build a 5.1 amp

In the simple 5.1 channel DSP is not required.
But use good power supply for having clean audio.
10W will not be sufficient.
Better use TDA2030A cheap & best but higher voltage than 12V u prefered.
If more money then use LM1875 pin to pin compitable of above but with more power & high quality.
u can visit "www.diyaudio.com\forums" for more info about audio projects.

tda 5.1 amplifier

Hi thanks for your suggestion people, what i feel is that now most off the power supplies used in commercial systems are switched type because of their compactness and efficiency a pc power supply is redly available and cheep(or can be taken from a old PC) , what i want to know is the switching frequency of it , which decides the noise figures on a audio amplifier.

I want to make a raw audio amplifier with 5.1 channel (6 channel) input from the PC .. that dosnt requires any DSP processing as we do all those things in the PC itself.

how to build an amplifier 5.1 channels

amplifier ic's are mostly cheep and nasty
the more channels they work on
the bigger the crosstalk and noise

so use three separate ic's

one for the bass bin out ...
and two T class amp package for both bass/mid and treble outs
impliment two 3 channel active crossovers in smd ...
to drive the stages from the now separated audio images from the pc's rear sockets

to avoid cross talk almost totaly
use one channel of an ic for treble one for bass but the same channel !!!
ic1 = L -BASS +L-TREBLE {driven by outputs from left channel crossover}
ic2 = R-BASS +R-TREBLE {driven by outputs from right channel crossover}
ic3 = bassbin mix... {driven by outputs from left/right bass channel crossover separate out's via two filters}
this way you can also have stereo bassbin outs {6.1 }
most pc's give a seperate bass bin output {2 3.5mm from the rear}
some older setups wont

try here there is a few designs already and heeps of development
easy to make kits pcb's and support for audio related stuff

mega bass amplifier ics

It is not just knowing the frequency & get away with noise in audio. SMPS supply in pc r not properly shielded. Hence there is lot of radiation. so u hv to be very careful while using this type of powersupply. HP noise figure meter is not supposed to be used near any computer as mentioned in the catalogue.

I have made a 5.1 system using TDA2050.TDA2030a(15w)/TDA2040(20w)/TDA2050(32w).U can use any one as ur choice.All these ICs are of class AB.So u can expect hi response at low frequencies as well as at high frequencies.Its freq range is from 20Hz-20khz,and is of very low noise,no hissing sound.And one thing all these ICs are pin compatable.So u can use same circuit and any IC as ur choice.

If u want more power (100w rms )then go for TDA7294/TDA7293.This IC is commonly used as subwoofer IC.
Hope this help

how to make a 5.1 amplifier from old pc

if your making surround systems then the LME49740MA
is a fab quad audio opamp for preamping etc..

but for any type of sound card that uses smd 8pin opamps
change the ones in the sb live music version ... audigy1/2
etc xfi cards to use LM4562MA dual opamp {same hi quality }
then burn it in for 24hrs on a looped track

fab sound differance

here is a link

https://www.overclock.net/sound-cards-computer-audio/185072-incredible-x-fi-mod-works-original.html

to an article my pal found and we followed

i used an smd plant to change the chips
a pencil solder iron will do just make a big blob over the 4 pins each side lift it up and then disconnect the blob do the same on the other side and lift it of
then sook off the spare solder
its mega high density .5mm smd in this parts in this xfi card audigy isnt so bad

i replace the quad opamps in a graphic equilizer unit i have
and boy what a nice flat sound when set flat...
no belly atall... super clean and very much less noise

.....

really super chip

samples will cost you postage from the u/s {to uk was about 15 quid total} i got 3 duals and 4 quads

Don't use this IC's unless u hv experince & proper source to buy original.

puviarasu,
hv to done anything or not?
If yes, then let others also know of ur project.
