To connect a synchronous generator (ongoing system) to to power system (running system), the voltage in magnitude, frequency, and phase of the ongoing system must be same to that of running system before the synchronous generator is connected to the existing power system. Would someone pls advise if the voltage, frequency, or the phase is not synchronized to the main power system, what will happen? Thanks.

When the differences isn't larger.....there aren't problem

but when any difference is larger the consequences can be dangerous for the machine and the Electric system

Between other consequences the generator can accelerate without control and can suffer severe damage.

I'm forget Othrer Consequences.....if i can remember more..i'll tell you

if the phase gets out of phase linking to power system then there might be a problem in Reactive Power Development.......which in turn draws more Power fron the source and the distubance goes on....................
