C/C++ program for communicating with port in Windows XP

Hi,

c/c++ programme can communicate with port in windows 98 but in windowxp cannot. what should i do?
 

C/C++ work with port

i'm using program called "userport" and it works fine. Make sure you have an admin priveledge because it's don't work if you don't have the priveledge.
The program's purpose is to open the user priveledge because window xp and windows 2000 already blocked all user to access port.

by using the C/C++

u can interface the serial and prarllel port ...... for learning purpose please install the Windows 98 for desire result

if u face any problem then i have programs in C languge to interfacing so i will send u .............

Ok thanks but do we can used winxp because i don't want to used win 98. Do we can interface with serial port on winxp by c/c++?

yes, u can use the serial port in Xp no problem.........

but in parallel port i am not sure because when i was interfacing the LPT onwindows 2000 there was continous logic 1 at the LPT port after some time

C/C++ work with port

Sometimes i must give logic '1' to all the control and data bus to make it works, after give that logic you can use the port normaly. That's what i get when i'm using visual basic 6.0
