I've done it with ADE7754 and work fine. I use Atmel Mega8 microcontroler for host.

Ok, I am start a project for metering a high voltage transmition line (15kV), then I choose the ADE7753 for metering the voltage translated by the voltage transformer (or potential transformer). I choose the ATmega48 for this application because of the spi and uart interface.
Anyone share with me the spi code for interface with ADE7753?

Hi, Im working with the ADE7758, and I cant comunicate correctly with my uC, is a freescale hc908gp32, does anyone knows the correct configuration for this uC. In other way i will write my expirience with the comunication, (1) the uC and the ADE has to have the same configuration of SPI, the SCLK has to be on low level, and the data in to the ADE goes on the falling edge of SCLK, the data out from the ADE goes on the rising edge. (2) you have to generate the SCLK, for example when i work the teh uC of freescale, and I read tha data that the ADE supost to send me, I couldnt do it because I have to send, from the uC some data, any data, after you decide wich register to read, so you can generate the SCLK for example to read the AVRMS you send a 0x0D you dont recevie nothing, then the ADE will send 3 bytes so the uC has to send 3 bytes too to generate the SCLK so the uC will send 0x00 and will read the fist byte (msb) again you send 0x00 and will read teh 2 byte, and you send the last byte 0x00 and will read at the same time the third byte. well this is what i can tell you about it, and i cant comunicate correctly my uC, hc908gp32 from freescale, with tha ADE7758, if you know something pls let me know

now it's using in a power station.

ade7758 application

I have just developed and tested a firmware module for ADE7753 in its basic functionality. Getting active energy and CF at the moment. As far as its SPI , interface is concerned, I didnt face any problems at all. I have interfaced it with msp430

You just need to have a refernce power meter fot the calibration.
To start with, Just use the default settings for the registers and read the RAENERGY Register every second, which means instantaneous power as it resets its contents after every read cycle.

few month ago i worked on a STPM01 by ST..and i found that chip is much better then ADE7758 in many ways...... i recamend if u are in your planning process then u should chk STPM01 too.

I have tried to work with this chip ADE7758 but have failed in each attempt. I tried to make chip talk with the MC68HC11, PIC28, & FPGA. MC68HC11 was the worst one, where the programing was the matter. PIC28 - I fried this one the first time. And the FPGA - I did succeeded with the programing, but here the chip was not getting caliburated with the output, where I am getting repeatedly 'FFFF' in the 7segment output.

Hence, I request any of them who know or have done their project to come forward and help, regarding this failur that I have faced.

I will appreciate your help, feed back or even I will buy/pay for your time or the whole project.
