velleman 8048 download

I am new to micro-controller programming and have purchased the book of Pic Basic Projects and have a CD containing a limited version of PICBasic Pro. I am looking for a programmer that is under $50 (a schematc and software would suffice) that is compatible with this Basic compiler. All the programmers listed in my book are over $100, but I have found a number of super low cost programmers on the Web but there are no statements as to their compatibility PicBasic Pro. Thanks in advance for any help.

programmer pic basic

Here you are a PIC programmer for almost all kinds of PIC's.

Also, here is the software you can use to download your code.

microcode studio unable to locate programmer

PICBASIC Pro can be integrated with MPLAB. My Inchworm ICD2 works with this configuration, and you get debugging too.

8048 velleman pic programator driver

Thanks for the programmer schematic. This appears to be very similar to the JDM programmer. The programming software download failed due to some kind of problem at the providers site. Will try later.

Another question: Is it possible to use a Velleman 8048 programmer with the PicBasic Pro software that includes MicroCode Studio. I purchased the Velleman kit before I bought the PicBasic book and CD. I have the 8048 programmer up and running but I would really like to work in PIC Basic. I can't seem to direct the PicBasic programming function to look for this board's driver. Keep getting the message "Unable to locate programmer"

Thank you again for any help.
