Hi all,

Would you tell me what is limiting amplifier and its properties?
Thanks in advance.

Perheps, you should describe your qestion more detailly.
And did you metion Amplifier's spec and their tradeoff between each other?

Limiting Amplifiers
When your circuit design requires amplitude compression, it delivers the limiting function. These amplifiers are useful for protecting subsequent components from input overdrive and removing amplitude modulation from FM signals.

could you show me some materials about limiting amplifier?

LA is an amplifier that is usually exist in fiber optics receivers , it function to amplify the comming digital signal which is distorted to rail to rail output in order to give a large signal to the other parts of the Rx (usually the CDR)

Limiting amplifiers are useful for protecting circuitry that has a limited input range. A classic example is an input buffer for an A/D converter.

There are a lot of things to limit the amplifier . You need to give more information such as the question regarding the circuit level or block level.
