I have a printer connected to win2000 and I have another computer connected to network working under win98se.
I can connect to a printer which is physically connected to the server but I want to print from win98 machine on the win2000 machine.
How to do setup both computers?
I tried to go through normal way ADD PRINTER and I can "see" the other computer on the network, but I can't find the target printer.
It asks me for a password to \\COMPUTER2\IP$.
What's the way to go and do I need this password?

on win2000 u must set full control permission for everyone on yr printer
check security tab and printer share permission section

Thanks for you quick answer.

Win2000 computer has all required boxes selected, both in Sharing and Security.
I tried to add printer in a different way by using computer name \\Computer2\Kyocera but it still asks me for a password and it is NOT the network password.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Windows 2000 IPC$ security issue-error ..
To fix it, you must create in Windows 2000 (computer withc the target printer) identical user as will be logged on in Windows 98 - use the same username and password ..
This ID will default into USERS group and should be enough to access files (if any) and print shares ..

Now, go back to the 98 machine, go through the ADD PRINTER, and when you see IPC$/Enter network password thing, use the password specified in the user profile you just created in Windows 2000 ..
