cdl circuit

Now I have an .cdl file,without map files.
How can I create circuit schematic from it?
Thanks for help me!

virtuoso cdl files

use the a tool named spicevion, it can import the netlist and then display circuit structure, of cource it is difficult to understand it, you have to trim it by yourself.
Best regards

virtuoso cdl in

Hi!

I import CDL and it creat Viewname nestlist have mos, not wire, VDD, GND.
I see in View nestlist mos at same place
But I need schematic,
I don't know what I fail.

May anyone help me?

cdl device map file

If you use cadence virtuoso, you can import cdl easily.
As usually the device name and properties are different between cdl file and PDK, you need a map file when importing cdl. For details, refer to cdsdoc.
Following is an example of the map file I used before.

devMap := nfet n18
propMatch := subType N
devMap := pfet p18
propMatch := subType P

Hi

can u explain what are the terms in map file and there importance...?

devMap := nfet n18
propMatch := subType N
devMap := pfet p18
propMatch := subType P

Thanks

Calibre has similar feature in the new RVE tool. You need to set the environment variable USE_NEW_RVE to 1, then if you used LVS or PERC, it will convert the source netlist to schematic; subckts will be represented as blocks, and other primitive components will be presented as is.
