robot followin a line BUT without sensors ! read it plz

hi all, well my project is to build a robot, carryin a laptop tht controls the robot through parallel ports, and its software will be usin Matlab,,, could any1 help plz?!
 

Hi! nice idea. It is possible to control the robot thorugh serial port in MATLAB but I don't know about the Parallel port controlling. There is a good tutorial on serial port communication in matlab version 7. Try it with Serial port.

yeh...u can try that example that ramesh said..it is easy to used serial compared to parallel coz u not need to use many communication between ya robot and ya pc...for the design of the robot i suggest u to used bootloader circuit using PIC...much simpler babeh....best of luck...
