cadence awd waveform background color

Hello all,

I use Cadence IC design tools to make some simulations, and i want to capture screen of output waveforms, I could do that using Alt+PrintScreen but this gave me black background,

**broken link removed**

how to convert that black colour into white (without using invert colours, it give very bad colours :()3

I may also need to know how to convert any colour to another colour, i.e. for example, convert white to blue, and red to magenta, or anything like that (Also, don't need to use colour inversion!! please)

I hope that someone tell me how to do with Gimp (i'm using Gimp 1.2 under RH9, and can't get the newer 2.2 version for RH9 sadly!! :()

Thanks in advance,
Ahmad,

hardcopy -> file : name.ps (postscript file)

I prefer to use some image capture softwares.They are rich in function and thus convenient.

Re: How ot take screencapture of waveform output from simula

use HyperSanp to capture waveform and in HyperSanp tools icon,
have conver black to white command

nop just : file>save as image

you can edit the graph also, by double clicking on its background, cirves, to have thicker lines or legend or etc.,

Re: How ot take screencapture of waveform output from simula

if you are using the unix environment ,you can see one icon called image viewer..in that there is one option called snapshot..you can locate the portion which you need to snapshot .save as filename.gif .then you can change your colour...you can open that file in imageviewer.

hypersnap and snagit are very convenient capture tools, both can change background color easily.

i noted that u r using AWD instead of wavescan , just an advice wavescan is better (at least u can print the plots with white background easily)

Analog Design Environment->session->options->waveform tool: AWD

By the way, I prefer AWD than wavescan, for wavescan is alwayse slower than AWD.
