Hello all,
When I run simulation on Analog environment, output comes without axes like that in the image below:
**broken link removed**

but instead like the other one below, how to let the latter like the first?
I'm using Cadence IC Tools version 5.10.41.500.1.16

BTW, I can't see controls in the above picture to left in my waveform display window, is there a special tool rather than regular analog environment waveform window that's in screenshot below?

Thanks in advance,
Ahmad,

The latter one is the output of wavescan, a tool from Cadence.

You can access the first one from Tools menu of icfb. If my memory is good enough, the command to start the first directory is awd (run from unix shell).

Tools / Analog Design Environment (or Analog Artist) / Waveform Display

when i did, it gave the second graph window, not the first that's with controls in the pallet to left ..see picture please... :(

What does that mean?

Regards,
Ahmad,

Ahmad,

The latest IC use wavescan as the default waveform tool. But you can change it to AWD: From ADE window, Session / Options ... / Waveform Tool

You may add a line to the file .cdsenv:
Code:
asimenv.startup cds_ade_wftool string "awd"
Then the default waveform tool will be AWD.

u put it in the file named ".cdsenv" which should be in ur home directrory, or else u can set it from the GUI directly from ADE as Hughes said

Hughes,

Really, BIG thank you :D

I added that line code in my .cdsenv file, and when running it agian output displayed in that window i want :)

Thank you alos Safwat, i didn't notice in Hughes reply that the command is to be put there unless your contribution...

Regards,
Ahmad,
