hi,

i wanna design a DLL with the lock range of 100Mhz to 600Mhz while the power is 1v, how can i make the range so wide since the power supply is only 1v? can anybody give me any help, and share me some papers?

thanks

Typical DLL range is limited to 2-3 for bias current controlled or supply controlled VCRO. You have to concider an additional 2-3 range for temp, process spread and supply.

Higher ranges ar typical derived by switching. So oscillator ring lenght is increase and phase resolution too. Switching factor is typical 2.

so what does "DLL range is limited to 2-3" mean?

Added after 2 minutes:

and it will be hard to get wide lock range since control voltage is less than 1v, that is too low adjust range here, so try dual loop with coarse loop and fine loop
