Hi all,

When I use ncelab of Cadence tools, I found something named "tfile". Is it a timing file like "SDF" file? Or why use timing file in ncelab but not ncsim?

Thanks!
Davy

tfile in vcs

Hi ,

Yes you are correct , it is for SDF .

Many tools support run time annotation (Ex: Modelsim ..) some tools do annotation at compile time ( VCS where compile and elab tovether) ...

If you do SDF annotation at compilation time or Elab Time ( Elaboration time ) simulations are faster .

Thanks & Regards
