uPD6451 character size

How to set it up to be able to display characters in size 1(1*H 1*V)?
I tried to set FR bit but µPD6451 still dispalys characters in size 2 (2*H and 2*V).

Re: uPD6451 character size

Which exactly part number do you have: µPD6451Axx-xxxx?

Re: uPD6451 character size

I have D6451ACX 001.
Does it matter?

Re: uPD6451 character size

You shouldn't have problem with this one ..

On power-on the size of characters should be 1 ..

Make sure that you don't alter the VD bit in the Display Position Vertical Address Comand and, of course, don't play with sizes by using (maybe accidentaly) Size Character Specification Command ..
