ohmmeter

Hello All
If using a ohmmeter (DMM or VOM) to measure an impedance of 60<45 Degree, what I will get ??

thanks

ohmmeter

Hi

could you give more information about your question?, specially "60<45 Degree", I dont think it is standard notation, therefore, more explanation is necessary.

Let me tell you in advance that an ohmeter doesn't measure impedance but resistence.

cheers

Sal

Re: ohmmeter

You will get the impedance of the circuit at 0 Hz. It will be the equivalent parallel resistance. It will be independent of the reactance of the circuit since the ohmmeter only uses a DC (0 Hz) voltage. So the phase angle doesn't matter.
