How to simulate the charge pump circuit? Which simulation need to do? AC, tran or DC? Thanks.

Charge Pump Circuit is commonly used transiency simulation.
By timing, it is operated...

you should simulate it, the way you simulate any other circuit. first dc, check operating points, than transient - check the current matching & time response!!!
if it is RF charge pump it would be a good ideea to run transient together with the loop filter & PFD.
if you don't have a PFD just set sources as you would have one.

M

PFD should be included in ckt when doing tran analysis.

Does anybody have the books:
1.Charge Pump Circuit Design
by Feng Pan, Tapan Samaddar
McGraw-Hill Professional; 1 edition (July 19, 2006)

2.High Voltage Devices and Circuits in Standard CMOS
Technologies
by Hussein Ballan, Michel Declercq

Publisher:Springer; 1 edition (October 31, 1998)

3.Smart Power ICS: Technologies and Applications
(Springer Series in Advanced Microelectronics)
by B. Murari, F. Bertotti, Bruno Murari

Publisher: Kluwer Academic Publishers; 2 edition
(November 2, 2005)

4.Multi-voltage CMOS Circuit Design
Volkan Kursun, Eby G. Friedman
ISBN: 0-470-01023-1
Wiley

I have scanned book

transient analysis. use a Phase frequency detector or switch on/off the current source and sink

DC Analysis>>AC Analysis >>Transient Analysis.
Include PFD n follow these steps.

if you want to design Power use chargePump
see Ti or other datasheet , like AAT3110

you should know charge pump use 4 mos switch
pmos or nmos ? --> please think again

and how large device how large driving current ?
and charge pump clock ?

in gernerl use 500K ~ 1M and external Cap 0.1 ~1u Load= 50~80ma

if Load=10m --> easy design

another problem is Vin = fix 2.7v or 2.7~ 5v
??

chargePump only provice x2 voltage , we use Vin 2.7v is min input

if you need Vin low to 0.9 ~ 1v -> use inductor Boost is better
