Hi,
Is it required to rerminate the I2C bus if it is to be left open to allow for future extension of the device?

Thanks in advance

iic bus termination

This may be a little bit confusing - although the term "termination" in the I2C bus is commonly used - in fact it is used to describe pull-up resistors on this bus, which have to be connected "somewhere" .. see picture below ..
The I2C bus is always open and new devices can be added at any time ..

terminate i2c bus

i think its important to terminate the communication so tat the line gets FREE, for other slaves or masters.

its imp to note tat the slave always has the right to hold the line LOW if its processing the info given by master .
