I want to construct db file from lib file. is there any special command or special method for this?

how to convert .lib to .db

Hi vahid_roostaie,

if u want to convert the lib to db. u need to have librarie compiler if u need the functionality. other wise if u need the db for the link processs like rams then u can obtain db using the design-compiler also.

read_db library.lib
list_libs
write_lib -macroname -formate db -o library.db

will give u the db in the design-compiler.
regards
rameshs

convert .lib to .db

read_db cannot read lib file, it can only read db format to read lib file you have use read_lib

read_db library.lib
list_libs
write_lib -macroname -formate db -o library.db

converting .db to .lib

Hi,

just try this in library compiler,

read_lib x.lib
write_lib -format db x

then u can have x.db file in u r directory where u have executed the above commands. Hope this helps u.

read lib file

Just cross check that library name for reading and writting should be same.
