Looking for VOIP tools for H323 and SIP protocols

VOIP tools neeeeed!!!

Hi there!
I have a project on VoIP (Voice over IP). I have learnt H323 and SIP protocols.
Now I have to built a program run on one of the two protocols.
I use VB but I don't have tools on these protocols.
Could you please give me some links or upload here tools for me?

As an advice implement SIP it's simpler as I understand.
SIP in dominating in the market these days too.

Hi,

For H.323, you need to use a ready-made protocol stack, because it is way too complicated to write your own 'asn.1 parser' (H.323 is encoded in asn.1). Openh323 is free, and is good.

For sip, although it is ascii, is it probably still good to use a ready-made stack, e.g. vovida.

For h.323, it is probably good to download the openphone softphone (openh323.org) and then you can play around with compiling it, and making modifications.
