Hello,

I saw many articles,... that they give a Mult. parameter besides the transistors's
W/L.

For example:
Tran.: M2 , W/L[um/um]: 6/2, Mult.: 40
Tran.:Mp, W/L[um/um]: 20/2, Mult.: 10360

So, what's this Mult. parameter means?

Multiplication factor - how many transistors are connected in parallel.

So,for example the 10360 are the numbers of transistors? Isn't it too much?

Is it because of matching?

what is the meaning of matching?

In my nomenclature: matching is the following:

For example:
You have to use 2 resistors which ratio has to be very accurate. For example: 1:20
Then you use 21 equal resistors. Then it will be better than you use a resistor and a 20 times bigger resistor.

I hope I was understable.

in this multipliers means the given W/L transistors 40 should be connected in parallel

How can I simulate and handle the multiplication transistors?

I use :Cadence Virtuoso (to draw the schematic)+Affirma( Spectre, SpectreS,Spectre RF)

In the nmos and pmos transistor model I can't set the Multiplication.
I want to find the easiest way (and of course I want to lay down simultaneously when I design the layout these 30-40 parallel transistor )

Thanks,

it is easy for you to set the multiplication in cadence. the transistor has a m parameter, it equal to multiplication
