LCF Meter using PIC16f628

I have build this LCF meter, but i noticed unexpected spurious oscillations in capacitor mode. On site with modifications i have noticed that 68pF capacitor has to be added in order to eliminate these oscilations, but i have not found information where to connect this capacitor. Can anyone tell me where to put this capacitor?

Sorry for my reply to this very old topic but i can't find schematic for this meter (links to epemag doesn't work now)...

The only working is the one to modification's page.

Can you tell me where i can find schematic and/or more infos???

When using MPLAB 7.31 I will get an error: Expected (END)

Sorry. I am not sure.The pdf version of the article might have some references to it.

What I did was convert it for MPASM. (My project is not yet completed. Little other works, So diverted from it.)

Start again after some time.

my question is why did the guys at EPE use an external crystal. and why the 3.2768MHz crystal

Answers: Crystals are much more accurate than internal oscillators. 3.2768 divides evenly by binary bit numbers (16,32,128...).

The original source is written for TASM Compiler then you have to Change the source code to compile via MPASM

It's working till now using 16F628A I think you have a problem feel free to ask.

As I said before you have to change the source code to work under MPASM

You have to change these :
% to B'
$ to H
.ORG to ORG
.EQU to EQU

Today i have made this project but i seen garbge on lcd after prog the pic may be code is not correct some one have a working version of the code can he please share it. further is 16f628 code can work on 16f628a
