5v to 12v discrete

I have a battery backup system with 6V SLA(lead acid) battery,
But few ckts work on 12V which are used rarely. but they are important.
so how do i get it.

I know I need step-up DC-DC converter
I will be glad to know the chips and links to their datasheets.

Re: 5V to 12V with 750mAh

The power can be converted without inductors, see publication "DC/DC Conversion without Inductors"at:
**broken link removed**
However, the main drawback of this type of conversion is small output current, usually much below 200mA ..

Thank you for your reply sir, this I have already gone through.
so our conclusion is we have to use inductor base step up convertor.

can any one suggest me more IC's

and so on .. or, you can build dc-dc converter using discrete components:

5V to 12V with 750mAh

MAX608
MAX771
MAX772
MAX1771

these chips are costly and not easily available
So I finally selected MC34063
