It is LDO. The output voltage should be not higher than 7.5V.
If output voltage will be driven by PNP to higher voltage than 7.5V the D606 will take current of Q603 and as a result Q604 driving capability will lowered.
D605 is a short current protection. If output will be shorted to GND this diode will switch off Q603 and Q604.
