What are all background check is must/ preferrable on a library before starting up any physical design. What are all the process to be done in library cleaning?
In my opinion . you want to make a check for the library . so you PD can start without re-checking .
1. you must decide what file format your PD tool read in . dot lib dot lef or dot gds.
2.Decide your design 's supply voltage level . 3.3V or 5V.
3.what metal do you need . 1poly4metal or 2poly 5metal. which has different library data .
4. Decide whether the files at your hand is the latest version.
5. Consult your foundary partner whether all IP such as PLL DPRAM are silicon-proven.
HOPE this help to you .
