Hi, everyone. I am wondering how do I generate the NC drill file and board outline file of the PCB in PowerPCB. And does the Gerber X (RS 274X) file itself contain these information?

And does AutoCAD can be used to generate these files? Thanks

File->CAM->Add->Document->NC drill

Hi,

Use the cam outut to generate your NC drill file.
For the board outline the easiest way is to generate a gerber file using only the board outline mechanical layer you have used.
You could use AutoCad but as it cannot generate excellon of gerber format files they would have to be DXF files and I would not recommend that.

Phil.
