i want to design multimeter Ac & Dc

colud any one help me in this design


now i have dc design but i need circuit design for ac

if you attach a circuit it will be better

To understand the basic principles of making a NOT digital multimeter:

To answer your question of interfacing 220V AC to an IC input, usually a voltage divider is used as you can see in Fig. 3, page 4 of the m-2666k.pdf from the first link. The resultant resistor value of the several resistors connected in series in the divider gives 10 MegaOhm as a rule, this is called input resistance of a multimeter.

You can find many other details on the web by using google.com or/and reading textbooks on measurement technics. I did some homework for you... :D
