Knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD Test??

Hi, all,
Recently i saw an ad recruiting a hardware engineer with this job description: Knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD Test. What exactly the guy will be doing in the actual process? Did anyone have experience b4? Please kindly advise.

EMC: Electomagnetic Compatiblity

A person performing these tests would set up and operate the equipment under test, while subjecting the equipment to various eletromagnetic environments, and demonstarating that the equipment will function (or not be damaged) under these environments. In EMI testing, you are concerned with the following:
. Emissions (undesireable electromagnetic output)
. Conducted
. Radiated.
. Susceptibility (Checking for improper operation while exposed to
. electromagnetic interference)
. Conducted
. radiated
An excellent resource is RTCA publication DO-160D "Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment. This document specifies, in detail, how various tests are set up and performed during qualification of airborne elctronic equipment. It is available the following source:

In ESD testing, the operator would subject the euipment to electrostaic discharges under controlled conditions, and check for proper operation of the equipment after exposure. Typically an ESD generator that simulates a statically charged human body is used.
