cadence allegro net names

Dear fellows,

I am new to Cadence Allegro (ver. 15.5). I have a headache problem with it. I am designing a two layer board (top and bottom). I am trying to put a piece of metal area on the bottom (ground), and I want to connect it to my input ground. I know I have to assign a net name to it. However, I can't find a way to do it.

Actually, I found a tutorial, which showed that I can do Edit > Change Net. However, I can't find such a menu in my windows.

I also attached my file here. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I really appreciate your great help.

Thank you,

allegro assign net

Hi
Select your shape then right click and select Assign net either type your net name or pick a net with cursor.

allegro+change+net+name

Thank you, Magnoo. I figured it out. I have to start with a schematics to have a netlist in the PCB editor. I can't create a net within the PCB editor directly, although the help document shows I should be able to do it. Maybe it can be done with the more advanced version.

allegronet logic

Hi bingjiang99

Sure you can.

Go to logic<net logic

And follow instructions.
But the best way is to fix it in schematic.

Majnoon
