difference between loop and mesh

some books consider them to be the same ..but this question was asked in my exam.

difference between mesh and loop

ysenthilece,
They are the same thing. Node equations are the other main type equation used in network analysis.

Kral

mesh loop analysis

hi,
I agree with karl, basically loop can be defined as " The closed path formed by a number of circuit elements". This definition holds good even for "Mesh". So in "Network Analysis" both "Loop analysis" and "Mesh analysis" are the same.
There is something called "Supermesh" which cannot be regarded as a "loop" or a "superloop".I hope this will clear ur doubt.
Happy learning..............

loop and mesh

some said that loop may be consist of some meshes but mesh canot be consist of some loops
this is an opinion i heard but in my opinion i think it is not
they are the same

mesh loop difference

I tried to show the difference by drawing I think it is easier.
the loop is a mesh but the mesh may be or may be not a loop.
they two can be defined as " The closed path formed by a number of circuit elements"
but in case of loop you may intersect with other elements.
I hope the drawing explains it better.

difference between mesh and loop ?

mesh consists of loops but loop doesnt consists meshes

what is the difference between mesh and loop>

sorry funster and sabari I doubt your answers and you may refer to the link
**broken link removed**
and the part of Loop or Mesh Analysis says that
"Mesh (loop) analysis is generally best in the case of several current sources. In loop analysis, the unknowns are the loop currents. Mesh analysis means that we choose loops that have no loops inside them"
that means "A mesh is a loop, but a loop is not necessarily a mesh"

also at the slide 24 of the power point presentation in the following link
**broken link removed**
it says that:
* A loop is any closed path through a circuit in which no node is encountered more than once.
* To find a loop, start at a node in the circuit. From this node, travel along a path back to the same node ensuring that you do not encounter any node more than once.
* A mesh is a loop that has no other loops inside of it.

and the same words will be found in any circuit analysis book

I hope I helped you.

what are the differences between loop and mash.

they are the same, loop and mesh there is no different between them, but the tearm loop have bigger meaning than mesh
loop = # of mesh
regards

difference between loop and mash.

in brief,
mesh is a loop with no other loops inside it.

difference between a mesh and a loop

Every loop is a mesh but every mesh is not a loop.
But you can have dependant loops in every circuit but not dependant mesh in every one( I mean the one that have the condition of solving with loop as you know we can solve every circuit with node method but not everyone with loop method their graph must have specific specification but i have not considered exceptions here)

difference between mesh loop

check electronics by malvino.it will clear your concepts.

what is difference between mesh and loop

Loop and mesh r not same ofcourse..
A mesh is a loop, but a loop is not necessarily a mesh"
Mesh cant he any innermeshes r loops..but a loop can ve meshes inside it..
This also just like circuit and a n/w..these r not same..

difference between and loop and a node

Every loop is a mesh but every mesh is not a loop.
But you can have dependant loops in every circuit but not dependant mesh in every one( I mean the one that have the condition of solving with loop as you know we can solve every circuit with node method but not everyone with loop method their graph must have specific specification but i have not considered exceptions here)
