relation between sampliing rate and baud rate

HELP!!!
what is the difference between Baud rate and sampling rate???

can Baud rates change to sampling rates???or sampling rates change to Baud rates???

is it have a equation to calculate it???

thank you very much!!!
 

relation between sampling and baud rate

baud is the signalling rate and not the data rate..

like in some coding schemes...(ASK ,PSK) one signal corresponds to more than a bit

thus data rate === baud rate * no of bits used in the scheme

baud rate sampling rate same

Baud reat means how much the the signal is changed from logic high to logic low
in one second
e.g when we say baud rate = 1000 thats mean the signal is changed from high to low 1000 time in the second

Sampling rate, refer to the serial receiver clock, that sample the incoming signal in order to decide when a transition, in the incoming stream, occured. Usually, it's 8 to 16 times higher then the baud rate.
