u have placed a ambiguous question make it clear
it doesnt have clarity in it
plz make it clear

what are engineering units

Kasd:
I need 25 pieces to start, after that
50 pieces(approach) every 90 days,

Syed:
I am looking for LCD manufactures
that can offer something like to this:

> 6 to 8 Digits in line (approach .3" to .5" font size)
> in a small font size beside, below or above the units:
* Sg/Mn/Hs
* Lt/Gl/M3

The above description is just a example,
many LCD with engineering units could be
ok,

display lcd 4 digit 4094

Thank Kasd, but these LCD aren't suitable
to battery powered, the current comsumption
should be less than 50uA

I was reading hitachi 44780 datasheet and it
current consumption is to much to develope
a low-power LCD module, there is a LCD module
with another controller to use in a very low powerd
system ?

Hi, why not try with shift registers 4094 ? I was make a 4 digit LCD dual channel termometer and humidity meter with PIC18F252 & 4094. For LCD control are used four 4094, and 4 pins of PIC18F252. Current consumption from four 4094 is approximately 10-15 uA. Refresh rate is 64 Hz. LCD display is OD-407 ( 4 digit 12.70mm height LCD ) from Comet Electronics, www.comet.bg .
You can use SPI channel to load data in shift registres or can load them with software. After loading data to LCD, I am put PIC18F252 in sleep mode and total consumption is ~300uA.
