difference between choke and inductor
Hi Friends,
I am now designing a Buck DC/DC Regulator. You know, I must choose an inductor, which should have high current capability, for the regulator. So power inductor seems to be the right one for this application. But I also find some Choke, which can burden high current, and in that chip’s datasheet, it said that the Choke can also be use in DC/DC converter. So my question is that: Choke can be used in DCDC converter circuit instead of Power Inductor? And What’s the substantial difference between Choke and Power Inductor? Thanks.
