how could i install hsim5.0 ?

in all, there r the following files

i untar the tar-files , and get the dirs of bin , doc , linux ,etc

and i set the bin path , and set env , and license file .

and i still coundn't start the software .

and , it says " i din't install the software in the platform "


common5.0-01132005.tar
hanex5.0-linux_all-01132005.tar

RelNotes5.0.pdf
hanex.pdf
INSTALL


i don't no why . can anybody help me ?

When you untar the file hanex5.0-linux_all-01132005.tar ,you can get a dir platform.Then untar the file common5.0-01132005.tar
in the same directory.
You must set the HSIM_HOME to you install directory.

I did as you tell me . untar the file , hanex5.0-linux_all-01132005.tar , and get a directory nassda5.0.

there r overall 6 directories , bin doc etc license platform tutorial .

i untar common5.0-01132005.tar in the platform directory .

and set HSIM_HOME ,path ,etc.

and run command hsim, it says :

and no compatible binary can be found

and run command critic , it says :
**************************************************************************
ERROR : linux_24/bin/critic is not installed under
/home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/platform
and no compatible binary can be found
**************************************************************************

and , i run command hanex , it says :

i don't no why . Does that mean , i should install critic and hsim and hanex , all of 3 of them ? how ?

First to check if you have the file /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/platform/linux_24/bin/hsim
if the file is exist.
You set the HSIM_HOME to /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0

Note: You need untar the common5.0-01132005.tar file at the same directory as unter the hanex5.0-linux_all-01132005.tar .
set PATH to /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/bin

When you use the command which hsim you can get the file: /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/bin/hsim

If completed the install,the critic hsim and hanex can install all together.

Added after 5 minutes:

If your two tar files at:
home/wildwood/n-hnl5 .
You need to untar the two file at the directory: home/wildwood/n-hnl5

When I untar the file hanex5.0-linux_all-01132005.tar I get the one directory " nassda5.0/platform ".
Then untar the file common5.0-01132005.tar I get the other directory: nassda5.0/bin nassda5.0/doc nassda5.0/etc nassda5.0/license nassda5.0/platform nassda5.0/tutorial

i untar the files and get the same directories as you .

but i don't have the file /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/platform/linux_24/bin/hsim ,

it is hsimd . and , in the same dir , it has hanex , but no critic .

i use command which hsim , i get /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/bin/hsim .

and i set the path and env as you tell me , but still can't start it .

and when i run lmgrd , it says :

I can not know what's problem.
About the license file you must affirm your license at the directory:/usr/local/flexlm/licenses/license.dat
If you placed the license file at: /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/license
You must setenv LM_LICENSE_FILE to /home/wildwood/n-hnl5/nassda5.0/license/license.dat

How to install the hsim 5.0 for window?

Quite clear why hsim is not working.
You only have the common and the hanex package
The common package includes just demos and wrappers for
the binarys which are called depending on your config
You need the hsim package from Nassda (now Synopsys)
to get hsim to work.
