Simulating IR in ISIS Proteus

Hi there! Can you simulate an IR Tx-Rx using PIC in ISIS Proteus? I quess not since ISIS won't support flow of signal using infrared. BUT, if I remove the IR transmitter and remove the IR receiver, and connect them with a wire(use inverter if needed), then can I simulate the Tx and RX? I tried this but it won't. Where could be the problem? Does the ISIS Proteus supports 2 PICs(one Tx and the other is Rx) in one circuit? I tried to send a signal from the PIC transmitter and connect it by wire to the PIC receiver but it won't work. But the transmitter PIC gives off digital signal as shown in the oscilloscope but the receiver doesn't activate. Where could be the problem? Thanks a lot for your help on this...

Do u modulate the transmitting signal. What protocol do you using? I tried rs232 protocol to simulate in ISIS and it works. ISIS simulates two pics in a design. Do you try to in a circuit? May be it works.

The circuit works in real life. I use protocol of IR, i.e., 38khz signal, with pertinent start pulse and correct pulse for one's and zero's. When I simulate it in ISIS, by removing the IR and connect directly the output of one PIC to the input of another PIC,it won't work. I tried inverting the transmit signal because the IR receiver is inverting the input, nothing happens. However, the transmitter PIC gives off signal but the other PIC doesn't respond. Where could be the problem?

you may need to employ a pullup resistor some where

In this circuit receiver TSOP1240.This IR module contains a demodulator block.If you remove it receiver circuit receives modulated signal and its undefined for receiver.First you look IR communications.This site is good.

If you do demodulator software it works.But it's not simple.Have fun...
