what is tft tech?
and how we do a maintenance?

Re: tft display?

Hi,

TFT (Thin-Film Transistor), also known as active-matrix, is a system in which the pixels on an LCD display are switched on by a transistor when it is strobed by the data. This gives a more reliable switching than the older STN displays, where the pixel is switched directly by the data lines. A capacitor is also added to keep the transistor switched on for longer after the data pulse has ended, giving a brighter display.

As to maintenance, there is nothing you can do if the unit has random bad pixels - the transistors are depositied on the glass.

Other failures that may be fixable are:

1) Poor contact between the LCD panel itself and the PCB (rubber strips) causing missing lines - needs realigning

2) Light too dim or out - replace fluorescent tube and/or inverter

3) Poor connector contacts causing intermittant operation or missing colours - clean/realign/replace

4) Electronic failure in driver circuitry - good luck!

Hope this helps,
