hi guys

i would like to know some good book to get a grasp of the basic concepts of dsp

i am a student of electronics and communication engg.

i have to do a project in dsp ( some direct application )

right now my dsp knowledge is very little

so i would like to know some good ebook or links to some tutorials

Best way to build dsp basics is to read signals and systems books. Then move on to dsp by proakis. The edaboard now has not only several books in this area but also solution manuals for the respective books. Hats off to those at edaboard!

The best book for DSP is oppenheim and scafer.
The better book is Orfandis /Proakis/DSP First.

Never heard of Orfandis. What is the title of this book? Agree on the DSP by Oppenheim and Schaffer text.
