Hello,

I am able to get Z0 of a microstrip transmision line using modal wave ports but if I want to use lumped port I am stuck because I need to enforce the impedance to some value. So the Z0 is this value, but not the real value...

Is it possible to get Z0 of a tansmision line using lumped ports ?

Thanks you !

If you simulate a line length of some wavelenths, the input impedance (from S11) will run in circles around the value of Zline. So you can calculate that center value from input impedance.

(This assumes that there are no parasitics from the lumped ports.)
