depend of contry

different contry has different system for caller ID
and MT8870 is a DTMF-tone reciver circurits
- is working in Sweden but i don't know if working
on other contry.

MT8880 can recive and sending out DTMF-tone.

Hi all
I was make my caller id with MT8870.
when i push my phone numbers ,the number will apear on the lcd display
but when my friend phones the number doesn't come.
Even the Std pin doesn't flash.
What configuration i must use for MT8870.

It's not problem with your circuit as you are getting the numbers you type on your phone on display. The problem lies in either your Telephone Company is not sending the Caller ID info or you connected the caller ID module to the line after hook switch. Either case please check in this way, first confirm the Caller ID format in your area is DTMF & not FSK. Then check the Telephone Company is providing you the CallerID infromation. Hope this helps..
