question about jitter classification

I would like to know the definition of following jitters:
edge-to-edge jitter and period jitter
Also, if someone can tell me what else kinds of jitters are there in the communication system I shall notice, that is better.

Period Jitter: It is the difference between the measured period and the Ideal period. The Period Jitter is used in diagnostics for the cross talk and modulation.
