Hi everybody,

i want to send AT commands to T26 Ericsson mobile using RS-232 Cable , how can I set the HyperTerminal in order to communicate with this mobile ?

note : the HyperTerminal is a program in the accessories in the Windows XP

THANKS

First of all is to choose COM 1/2/3...port and set it on 19200 bps, 8,N,1
then try with AT string...
Have you attached the right RS232 cable...?

usually internal modem is also mapped to some COM port,

you just open the COM port corresponding to the modem..

typing on the hyperterminal will send out data to the modem

AT...

Try this terminal software:
h**p://www.rfinnovations.com.au/Uploads/Images/RFI-Interm%20Rev1.1(1).zip
You can define AT command as a string and send it with one click of your mouse (use buttons feature).
Obviously you have to set up the port to match the other end with speed, bits, parity etc

where can i find the settings for the COM 1 2 3 ????
and what do u mean by AT string ?
yes i have the right RS232 cable

When you start HT (hyperterm...) you create a connection, you give the name for it, then choose interface (modem, BT, COM1.2.3 ports etc... ) and choose correct setings for the connection...You can do it later in File/Properties but you must stop and restart connection after changing settings...
When I wrote AT string I thought that you type AT and then Enter!
