hello
how can i assign a Wave Propagation Vector K in y-direction, the electric field vector in x- direction, and magnetic field vector H in z- direction, using HFSS on radiation box in which my design which i have to analyse is place.

please help me soon it's urgent

hey there,
it seems that u want to excite ur structure with a plane wave.
just add a plane wave excitation and select Ex and ky.
note that if u select EX=1, Ky=1, then Hz=-1/n (when n is the chrectristic impedance, which in air equals to 120*pi).

thanks chenfire
but can you pease let me knoe the steps that i have to take in HFSS for doing that

sure,

right click -> add excitation -> plane wave.

then a new window will show up, u will be able to select the zero phase place (which is setted to the origin),

then press next and it will show up.

if u got more troubles let me know

if it was helpful u can click "helped me".
