HI everybody!!!
My thesis is to design single layer RA by CST.
Indeed I start to use CST 2 days ago and really I am completely confused by many settings on it
Could anybody tell me the steps to design unit cell and get phase plot???
And how to feed by horn???
I appreciate any help!!!!! Thanks so much!!!

It is straight forward is CST.

Choose the templete unit cell.

design your unit cell and simulate it in frequency domain. No need to change the boundary conditions as it will automatically taken care of. Once you get the desired reflection properties of your array then design the finite array and feed it with horn antenna from its focal point. If your operatiing frequency is low then the structure will be big and you need ample of computing resources. Use of symmetry in boundary conditions is recommended.

Regards

@prafuldeo:Can I have your any design as example???
please send to me your YM nick or Skype.
Best regards,

hi all.
are you still here? ;)
im designing a reflectarray with HFSS and CST.
i have designed my unit cell and the phase curves seems good.
my unit cell have a varying stub length that produce different phase delay.
Now i want to use it as array and each cell element should have its own phase delay.
I want to use the cells as array, and fed it with a horn antenna.
i dont know what solver should i use... and how make array with a unit cell....
i would be thankful if somebody help me..

Whether you are looking RA consists of 3 layers ????
consisting of Ground, polypropylene and radiating.

Hi , i'm working on reflectarray antenna using patch element, i'm trying to simulate my unit cell in CST but I don't know how to excite it with planar waves and floquet modes ,and how u get the phase figure plot versus cell dimension ?.thanks

Dear Prafuldeo,

Could you please send the designed unit Cell CST file.
