I have created a new component , a 5 pin connector. Its in the schematic and transferred across to the pcb.
When I click on it and try to move it my whole board disappears, I then have to view document again to see it.
Really puzzled as to why it's doing it . Can anyone suggest anything?

I assume in the library you have not set the "Set Reference Point" to the Center of the component. So every time you try to grab the component, your mouse will go to a far point, beyond the boundary of your PCB. The "Set Reference Point" can be found in library mode (where you can edit the component) in the Edit->Reference.
