Can someone recommend a through hole Bluetooth device I can use to plug into a pic16f877a on a PCB?

Want to send data from an android app to the bluetooth module to send small messages to a POV clock.

I am NOT using arduino as its for a uni project. I'm finding a lot of surface mount modules which I cant use, and the one I have found online, I'm not sure I can connect to a PIC.

So far I've seen the RN42.

Hello thetallstumpyone,
RB4000H could a good solution to your problem. You can find more information here https://www.radi.com/modular67.htm. Also if you are good with pcb design and soldering you can make a through hole alternative version from these surface mount boards your own.
