Hi,

I am trying to create JST connector footprint of 6 pin smd , but i need to include 2 soldering pad on either side of the package. i try to place a pad for it, but while net listing error show up as extra 2 pad in the footprint.

kindly tell me how to go with the soldering pad which has no electric connection , which is only used for soldering purpose.

1\ You can delete two soldering pads in the package, add it in board.
2\ You can add two GND pads in the package as your two soldering pads.

Thanks for reply

so we wont be able to create soldering pad in pcb editor, but can i create using shape - rectangle with Etch/top (class/subclass). does this work in footprint. As i changed this way , know i don't way any error but i don't know it works or not.
