Hello,
I am using dftadvisor from Mentor Graphics for inserting scan in the design. I have read in the manual, that if there is scan already existing in the design. Then it is possible to delete the existing scan and insert new scan of different length. But no where it is specified, regarding how to remove the existing scan and add our own scan.
Is it possible to remove the existing scan and add our own scan to the design ?
If yes, how is it possible ? Can you explain ?

Thank You !

Hello,

We can do this in mentor.
So for that you just need to follow following steps.

1> read design, lib and DFT info file.
2> set system mode dft
3> ripup scan chains {chain_name | -all}
We can define more that 1 scan chains to delete from existing scan chains.

With Regards,
Maulin Sheth.

Hi Maulin Sheth,

It is working. I think we need to specify even scan chain information(no. of scan chains...)

Thank you,
Sravan Alli.
