I am using MSP430F5438 microcontroller and respective experiment board but I am in confusion whether that board is a burner use just to burn the micro-controller-. or a complete set where I can connect my interfaces. plz help me it's urgent

Hi,

Not a board I have used, but reading the TI info seems it needs ...

A TI Flash Emulation Tool, like the MSP-FET430UIF, is required to program and debug the MSP430 devices on the experimenter board.

Also have a look at this and other ytubes which explains other ways to program it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2za6Dce2sew.

Have you got to use the TI system, which seems expensive, other simpler and cheaper systems are around if its just hobby use.

Thanks for your reply wp100
and can you tell me any other such device to burn msp430f5438 because its experimenter board is worth Rs 11,000
and I have IAR workbench software to debug my program so if possible send me the link from where I can but that

Hello!

It depends on which board you are talking about.
I have for example a MSP-EXP430F5438. This one doesn't have an on-board emulator.

Dora.
